When designing this program, my first thoughts were to protect my family and friends. During the recent fire season that swept through Western United States, I realized that if I were to have to evacuate our home in an emergency I may not have enough time to gather all of our important documents. Although I know where they are, I would not have time to gather them together if faced with only minutes to get out.
I realized that if all I had to do was grab my CD copy, there might be additional time to gather irreplaceable pictures and videos. If I were faced with an emergency situation I may not always be thinking straight and I might forget to pick up all of my important papers when rushing to get out of my home. There may also be situations when I could forget something important if filing an insurance claim. In stressing situations most people do not think logically and quite often forget important information.
When sharing my program with family and friends it became evident that other people would benefit from my program as well. My goal is to help others record their vital home and family records. I hope you will never need to depend on this program, but in case of an unexpected situation, you will be prepared. The time you spent completing this program will become priceless.
